Pre and After Care
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Spray Tan
- Exfoliate – 24 hours before your tan, gently exfoliate your skin with a scrub or exfoliating mitt to remove dead skin cells.
- Shave/Wax – Shave or wax at least 24 hours before your tan to avoid irritation.
- Avoid Moisturizers, Oils, and Deodorants – On the day of your tan, keep your skin free from lotions, perfumes, oils, and deodorants, as they can create a barrier.
- Wear Loose, Dark Clothing – Tight clothing can rub off the tan before it sets. Opt for dark, loose-fitting clothes.
- Stay Dry – Avoid sweating, swimming, or showering right before your tan.
- Wait Before Showering – Follow the recommended time (typically 6-8 hours for standard tans, 1-4 hours for rapid tans) before rinsing off.
- Rinse with Lukewarm Water – Avoid hot water, scrubbing, or soap during the first rinse to allow the tan to develop evenly.
- Pat Dry – After showering, gently pat your skin dry with a towel instead of rubbing.
- Moisturize Daily – Keep your skin hydrated with a non-oil-based moisturizer to extend the life of your tan.
- Avoid Exfoliating – Minimize exfoliation and harsh products that can cause the tan to fade quickly.
- Limit Water Exposure – Long showers, pools, and hot tubs can break down your tan faster.
Following these steps will help you achieve and maintain a long-lasting, even tan!
